  • Patent number: 7191665
Abstract: A support (1) for a reflective target to be mounted on a turbine casing, which is used in casing bending measurements. The support (1) comprises a tube (2), which was chosen to ensure a thermal expansion coefficient near zero at the operating temperatures of the casing. The tube (2) is located at one end in a steel holder (3). In the middle of the tube (2) is arranged a metal rod (9), which is fixed to the holder (3). At the opposite end of the tube (2) is an insert (7), which has an apertures through which passes the metal rod (9). Within the insert (7) the metal rod (9) is screw threaded so it can be turned to provide always enough tension at all operating temperatures and the metal tube (9) is held tight, secure, and has minimal vibration.

  • Patent number: 6007296
Abstract: A guide blade for steam turbines, having in the blade interior a cavity (18) to which a vacuum is applied, is provided with an opening (3) for drawing off fluid in the region of the trailing blade edge (4). This opening is provided with a porous cover (7). The cover is dimensioned in such a way that, during operation, all its capillaries are filled with the fluid to be drawn off. It is anchored in the guide blade by a mechanical fastening element (20).The mechanical fastening element (20) is a spring-loaded quick-acting lock and comprises a bush (21) which fixes the cover in the blade opening (3) and projects with its cylindrical part (24) into the blade cavity (18), and a pin (25) which is axially displaceable in the interior of the bush, is equipped with spring means (26) and is provided at its end with a cap (28), which rests on the inner wall of the blade.

  • Patent number: 5705853
Abstract: A power semiconductor module is specified in which at least one semiconductor chip, which is fitted on a baseplate, is made contact with by a respective contact plunger. The position of the contact plungers can be set individually in a manner corresponding to a distance between the semiconductor chips and a main connection which accommodates the contact plungers. The contact plungers are either subjected to pressure by means of a spring or fixed by means of a solder layer.

  • Patent number: 4839482
Abstract: The gas-blast breaker exhibits two contact members (1, 2) which are located in a housing filled with insulating gas and can be brought into and out of engagement with one another along an axis (5), and an insulating material nozzle (4) through the nozzle constriction (6) of which an arc burns during a switching process. The nozzle constriction (6) is formed by several segments (7) which follow one another in the circumferential direction, can be moved in the radial direction and can be loaded with a centripetally acting force. In this gas-blast breaker, the cross-section of the nozzle constriction (6) which is effective during a switching process is intended to be largely independent of the number of switching processes performed and causing nozzle erosion.
