  • Patent number: 11555736
Abstract: A method calibrates a load sensor in a rotor blade of a wind turbine. The method includes checking a state and/or operating parameters of the wind turbine; continuously measuring a calibration condition for the wind turbine and comparing the measured calibration condition with predefined calibration prerequisites; switching to a calibration mode when the measured calibration condition meets the predefined calibration prerequisites or switching to a restricted production mode when the measured calibration condition does not meet the predefined calibration prerequisites; and, collecting measurement data in the calibration mode. The calibration mode is terminated when the required data have been collected for the calibration; and, switched from the calibration mode to an interruption mode. The mode is switched from the interruption mode to the restricted production mode when the measured calibration condition does not meet the predefined calibration prerequisites for longer than a predefined period of time.

  • Patent number: 8618685
Abstract: The invention is directed to a method for operating a wind turbine in the event of a grid error. The wind turbine has a rotor having a rotor blade adjustable in its blade pitch angle, a generator and a unit for capturing an actual value of the rotational speed of the generator, a value of the blade pitch angle and an actual value of a variable which is representative of a generator torque. The method includes recognizing a grid error; capturing the actual value of the generator torque and actual value of rotational speed of the generator when a grid error was recognized; determining a change in torque; capturing the pitch angle; determining a corrective value for the pitch angle in dependence upon the change in the generator torque and the value for the pitch angle; and, determining a corrected set-point for the pitch angle.

  • Patent number: 8332076
Abstract: A wind farm with plural wind turbines which are connectible to a farm grid that is in turn connectible to an electricity supply mains via a connection point, wherein the wind farm features the following: a central control system, which determines a correction value for a local desired value for one or plural wind turbines by way of a first regulator, depending on an actual value of an electric variable before or after the connection point, and a turbine control for at least one wind turbine, which determines a local desired value for an electric variable to be generated by the wind turbine by way of a second regulator, depending on an actual value of an electric variable measured in the farm grid, wherein the turbine control determines the sum of the local desired value and the correction value as the total desired value for the electric variable of the wind turbine to be generated.
