  • Publication number: 20210038199
Abstract: Aspects of the technology described herein relate to detecting motion during collection of ultrasound data. Some embodiments include automatically comparing first ultrasound data collected from a set of locations at a first time and second ultrasound data collected from the set of locations at a second time to determine that a difference between the first and second ultrasound data exceeds a threshold difference. The set of locations may be scanline. Some embodiments include determining based on motion data from a motion sensor on the ultrasound device that an amount of motion exceeds a threshold amount of motion. An action may be performed based on determining that the difference between the first and second ultrasound data exceeds the threshold difference and/or that the amount of motion exceeds the threshold amount of motion. For example, the ultrasound data collection may be aborted, restarted, or a notification about motion may be generated.

  • Publication number: 20040198974
Abstract: The present invention is directed to the separation of enantiomers of racemates of formula (I). The separation proceeds by applying deemed racemates to continuos enantioselective chromatography like SMB. The methods predominantly is performed for industrial scale production of pure enantiomers of deemed amino acids which are useful intermediates in organic synthesis.

  • Patent number: 6656902
Abstract: A method for separation of enantiomers of a lactam represented by formula (I): where n and m are each, independently, 0, 1, 2, or 3; P is H or an N-protecting group; and the dotted line represents an optional double bond, by liquid chromatographing the mixture on a chiral stationary phase, where said stationary phase is derivitized with at least one sugar derivative, with an eluent which comprises acetonitrile.

  • Patent number: 6258933
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for the one-stage resalting and purification of oligopeptides. Oligopeptides are often not formed directly as acetates when synthesised. Acetate salts of oligopeptides are however desirable as bulk-active material for medical and formulation reasons. Processes known from the prior art have hitherto involved two separate steps or pyridine-containing solvents. The resalting and purification can be combined in one step and the use of pyridine as solvent can be avoided, if the oligopeptide in the form of its chloride salt is purified with an acetate-containing solvent by liquid chromatography methods.

  • Patent number: 5862837
Abstract: A thread holder comprises two holding members which form a gap that has a round cross-sectional shape and increasing width. Each of the thread holders is journalled on the other holding member at at least one bearing location which is executed as a bearing surface. With this arrangement the journalled holding member can easily assume a holding position that is ideal for a thread being used. The thread holder is suitable in particular for a bringer rapier of a rapier weaving machine.

  • Patent number: 4039342
Abstract: The output of coke ovens is increased if the brick constituting the wall between the flues and the coking chamber has a thermal conductivity matched to the rate at which the coke accepts heat. Magnesite has been found to have appropriate thermal conductivity. This material at the lower end of the coking range, namely 1200.degree. C, is impractical due to the fact that it develops cracks and flakes off. However at the higher end of the desired coking range, namely 1300.degree.-1400.degree. C, these difficulties do not appear, and the use of the material leads to increased output of the furnace. More particularly according to the invention firebrick is used which has a thermal conductivity of 2.0-6.0kcal/mh.degree. C and is composed of 20-45% SiC, 23-57% Al.sub.2 O.sub.3 with the remainder consisting of SiO.sub.2 and traces of other oxides.
