  • Patent number: 10137807
Abstract: A manifold is coupled to a foam core with a primary manifold opening with a blind coupling fixedly positioned adjacent the B-side of the foam core. Front and rear hook members extend from a coupling frame of the blind coupling. Front and rear lips are positioned on opposite sides of a blower opening with a domed framework. The front hook members are positioned relative to the coupling frame to hook the front lip to provide fore and aft positioning of the blind coupling relative to the blower opening. The front hook members are designed to slide laterally along the front lip and to cause the coupling frame to engage the domed framework to provide lateral positioning of the blind coupling relative to the blower opening.

  • Patent number: 6570375
Abstract: A wheel speed sensor latch for securing a wheel speed sensor to a bearing cap of a vehicle speed sensing assembly. The latch includes a main body having a collar section adapted for receiving the wheel speed sensor therethrough. The latch further includes a pair of bifurcated legs extending from the main body. The pair of bifurcated legs being engageable with a pair of latching members formed on the bearing cap such that the pair of latching members and the pair of bifurcated legs cooperate to secure the wheel speed sensor on the bearing cap.

  • Patent number: 5996408
Abstract: A speed sensor assembly is mounted to a steering knuckle with a threaded fastener. The fastener is initially hand tightened until it is axially obstructed by a spacer provided on the speed sensor assembly. A tool then is used to apply high torque to the fastener so as to deflect or break away the spacer so that the speed sensor assembly may be tightly clamped to the steering knuckle by the fastener. The spacer prevents hand tightened speed sensor assemblies from being properly aligned with a tone wheel. Unless a tool is used to fully seat the speed sensor assembly, the assembly will give a false test signal indicative of improper or incomplete mounting.

  • Patent number: 5653410
Abstract: A vehicle wire harness clip has a thumbpad and two connector posts depending downwardly from the thumbpad. A person can urge against the thumbpad to press the posts into respective receiving holes that are formed in the body of the vehicle. An offset shank extends laterally away from the thumbpad, and the shank terminates in a harness support surface. A wire harness can be taped to the support surface and thus held in a position that is laterally offset from the thumbpad. Because two connector posts are included, the clip cannot undesirably pivot about either clip.

  • Patent number: 5466036
Abstract: A wire routing harness apparatus for use between a vehicle body and a liftgate pivotally mounted thereon. The apparatus includes a sheet-like body secured to the vehicle body, covering a portion of a wire from a remote location, and a hollow body secured to the liftgate, slidably mounted on the sheet-like body and adapted to having the wire extended therethrough. The hollow body may include two side-by-side slots formed therethrough for receiving a plurality of wires in each slot. The sheet-like body conforms to the shape of a portion of the vehicle body, and is mounted to be spaced apart therefrom to receive the portion of a wire therebetween.
