  • Patent number: 10734820
Abstract: Electric power is provided to motor vehicles via a respective outlet station. A number of outlet stations are connected to a common electric power supply, each with an interface towards a control node. Over the interfaces, the outlet stations receive operation commands from and send status messages to the control node. The control node allocates a fraction of the common electric power supply to each outlet station to which a motor vehicle is connected. The fractions are allocated such that a sum of all fractions represent a total delivered power, which is less than or equal to a predefined maximum level for the common electric power supply. If an interface between an outlet station and the control node is broken, the outlet station is configured to apply a power supply scheme according to which the outlet station is only allowed to deliver electric power up to a level prescribed by a predefined principle stored in each of the outlet stations.

  • Patent number: 10332221
Abstract: A utility is distributed to a group of subscribers via a distribution network. At least one parameter reflecting an instantaneous overall consumption of the utility in the distribution network is measured repeatedly, and an amount of the utility delivered to each subscriber in the group is controlled in response thereto. It is checked whether the instantaneous overall consumption of the utility is within an acceptable interval. If it is below a lower threshold level, at least one load is controlled to increase its consumption of the utility according to a pre-defined scheme in proportion to a deviation of the instantaneous overall consumption of the utility from the lower threshold level. If it is above an upper threshold level, at least one load is controlled to decrease its consumption of the utility according to the pre-defined scheme in proportion to a deviation of the overall consumption of the utility from the upper threshold level.

  • Publication number: 20050052416
Abstract: A primary pointing device controls the position of a cursor on a digital screen by means of primary position commands (C1). The primary position commands (C1) are generated by relative movement (D11; D12) between the primary pointing device and a substantially flat external surface, such as a tabletop or mouse pad. The primary pointing device is adapted to dock with a secondary pointing device, which may also control the position of the cursor on the digital screen. Bearing registering user input controls in the secondary pointing device generate secondary position commands (C2), which are fed to the digital processor for causing the cursor to move on the digital screen. Furthermore, the primary pointing device is adapted to dock with the secondary pointing device.

  • Patent number: 6253765
Abstract: In a method for determining the elastic volume (representing the gas which must be added to compensate for the compression of gas occurring in the tubing system) of a tubing system connected to a patient without the patient's lungs and airways entering into the determination, a determination of the volume of the tubing system is made at two different pressures during one breathing cycle and the elastic volume is calculated from the volumes thus determined. The volume of the tubing system can be established by adding a predetermined flow of a first gas to the tubing system, while constant pressure is maintained in the tubing system, when the flow of breathing gas to/from the patient is virtually zero, determining when the first gas starts flowing out of the tubing system and determining the volume of the added first gas, this volume constituting the volume of the tubing system.

  • Patent number: 6095138
Abstract: A portable respiration apparatus is dimensioned to convey a flow of gas, with an upper limit on pressure, from an inlet to an outlet connected to a patient. The inlet of the portable respiration apparatus can be connected to a stationary gas unit when a higher pressure is desired. The stationary gas unit can generate a gas pressure that is applied to the inlet of the portable respiration apparatus, so that a higher gas pressure can be generated and delivered to the patient. Alternatively, the stationary gas unit can be dimensioned so that it is itself capable of generating the desired gas pressure to be supplied to the patient, so there is no additional increase in gas pressure in the portable respiration apparatus.

  • Patent number: 5782889
Abstract: A heart stimulator, with verification of capture in the atrium of a heart, contains an atrial pulse generator which, via an atrial electrode, emits stimulation pulses in the atrium and a ventricular detector which senses depolarization signals in the ventricle via a ventricular electrode. The time which elapses between two consecutive stimulation pulses emitted in the atrium can be varied, and variation in ventricular events associated with the stimulation pulses is studied. If the ventricular events vary in time in the same way stimulation pulses emitted in the atrium vary, AV conduction is functional, and capture is present in the atrium.
