  • Publication number: 20070121788
Abstract: Modular X-ray tube (10) and method for the production of such an X-ray tube, in which an anode (20) and a cathode (30) are arranged in a vacuumized inner space (40) situated opposite each other, electrons (e?) being produced at the cathode (30) and X-rays (y) at the anode (20). The X-ray tube (10) according to the invention comprises a multiplicity of acceleration modules (41, . . . , 45), complementing one another, and each acceleration module (41, . . . , 45) comprises at least one potential-carrying acceleration electrode (20/30/423/433/443). A first acceleration module (41) thereby comprises the cathode (30), a second acceleration module (45) the anode (20). The X-ray tube (10) further comprises at least one other acceleration module (42, . . . , 44). In particular, the X-ray tube according to the invention can possess a re-closeable vacuum valve, enabling individual defective parts of the tube (10) to be replaced in a simple manner or enabling the tube (10) to be modified in a modular way.

  • Patent number: 7218707
Abstract: High voltage vacuum tube (9) with an anode (3) and a cathode (4), the anode (3) and/or the cathode (4) being electrically insulted by means of an annular insulator (21/22). The annular insulator (21/22) is designed arched once, humped in direction of the vacuumized inner space (6), the arch having in the direction of the vacuumized inner space (6) a sloping front area (31) and two lateral areas (30/33). The sloping front area (31) of the insulator (22) of the anode (3) slopes toward the disc center (7) of the insulator (22), while the sloping front area (31) of the insulator (21) of the cathode (4) slopes away from the disc center (7) of the insulator (21).

  • Patent number: 4442851
Abstract: A degreasing apparatus comprises a vessel (3) the lower portion of which is shut off by means of a bowl-shaped plate (5), to form a container (1) with a heating means (2) for boiling solvent. The bowl-shaped plate (5) has an opening (6) at its lowest point. A valve means (7) is arranged at the opening (6). The valve means (7) comprises a body, preferably a ball, which can seal against a seat which surrounds the opening (6). The density and size of the body are related to the size of the opening (6) so that the body floats up from the seat in the presence of solvent condensate, so that condensate can pass from the valve means to the container (1). Vapor pressurized in the container (1) by the heating means (2) lifts the body from the seat so that vapor can flow up into the treatment space of the vessel (3). When the apparatus is shut off, the body seals the opening (6) and thereby prevents evaporation of solvent from the container (1).

  • Patent number: 4439882
Abstract: A roller brush (9) is horizontally arranged in a solvent vessel (7). The essentially vertical portions of the lateral surface of the brush (9) are sealingly surrounded by contour plates (11,12). The contour plates are sealingly connected to a cover (14-16) which is in turn sealingly connected to the edge of the vessel. The brush (9) is partially immersed in the solvent and is driven for rotation. The contour plate (11) which is conjoined to the upwardly moving peripheral portion of the rotating brush (9), extends down into the solvent so that the brush, in cooperation with the contour plate (11), pumps solvent up to the scrubbing area as the brush rotates. A conveyor path (1) for objects to be cleaned extends through the upper peripheral portion of the brush. The bristles of the brush (9) form, in cooperation with the cover (14-16) and the contour plates (11,12), a seal between the interior of the vessel and the surroundings of the vessel.
