  • Patent number: 5039322
Abstract: An apparatus for extracting hot gas samples from a reaction vessel has at least one extraction probe having a gas-conducting inner tube and a filter, which succeeds the extraction probe. The filter is composed of a filter cup and a filter plug disposed therein. To permit a simple cleaning of the filter, the filter cup is formed by a diametrically enlarged, coaxial extension of the inner tube of the extraction probe and the filter plug is carried by a filter bottom, formed with blast nozzles. The nozzles are directed into the annular space formed between the filter cup and the filter plug.

  • Patent number: 4779466
Abstract: In order to ensure that a sample can be taken continuously from a reaction chamber with a minimum of maintenance work, the sample gas is extracted from the reaction chamber in two identical extraction lines in alternation and at a rate which exceeds the rate required for the analysis and surplus gas which has been extracted by one extraction line is branched from the sample gas and is blown back to the reaction chamber through the other extraction line.

  • Patent number: 4756200
Abstract: A probe for extracting a hot gas sample comprises an inner tube for conducting the hot gas sample and a cooling jacket surrounding the inner tube. A heating element surrounds the inner tube and the heated inner tube is shielded from the cooling jacket by an interposed heat insulation.

  • Patent number: 4611672
Abstract: A drilling bit, such as a crenellated drilling bit for fluid-jet supported rotary drilling in rock comprises a nozzle for directing a jet of high-pressure fluid against rock material being bored. In addition to transporting away rock chips, the jet penetrates fissures in the rock and supports the breaking down of the rock structure by the drilling bit. Since such nozzles tend to wear more rapidly than the cutting edges of the drilling bit, a readily exchangeable nozzle insert is provided. The nozzle insert is seated in a retaining body incorporated in the drilling bit and is held in the retaining body by a threaded annular cap. The annular cap has a hexagonal recess for accommodating a tool such as an Allan-key.
