  • Publication number: 20240081964
Abstract: An electric toothbrush is disclosed, having a handle including a drive motor and a head portion removably coupled to the handle. The head portion includes a brush, an exit port fed by an internal irrigation lumen, and a drive shaft operatively connecting the drive motor to the brush. A disposable irrigant reservoir is removably coupled directly to the head portion. The irrigant reservoir is in fluid communication with the internal irrigation lumen of the head portion. The head portion is configured to be replaceable with respect to the handle, and the irrigant reservoir is configured to be replaceable independent of the head portion. In some examples, the irrigant reservoir is a disposable bulb (e.g., a capsule), and is positioned such that the user can hold the handle while also squeezing the reservoir with the same hand. In some examples, the toothbrush head includes a suction mechanism.

  • Patent number: 10115378
Abstract: A method for creating the laser etched image in an instrument. The etching can be applied to bare wood, through a single layer of a contrasting coating, or through a plurality of layers to expose a layer having a contrasting color. The instrument can be prepared by applying one or more layers of coatings of different colors upon the surface. The programmed laser etches through a desired number of layers, exposing a target color, creating a multi-colored image. The etched material can be filled enhancing a contrast. The artwork can be aesthetic and/or functional, such as providing a series of note references laser etched into a fingerboard of the instrument. Each note reference is located respective to a position along a length of a respective string to generate the respective note and would be used for training a musician how to play the instrument.

  • Patent number: 8772616
Abstract: A stringed instrument having a series of note references laser etched into a fingerboard. Each note reference is located respective to a position along a length of a respective string to generated the respective note. The note references are laser etched into the fingerboard using a laser wood removal system. The laser system is programmed to generate a series of recessions within the fingerboard in accordance with a programmed directive. The programming defines the location of each note reference adjacent to a respective fret and under the respective string. The programming accounts for the neck dimensions, fret locations (based upon the scale), string spacing, etc. The laser system can accommodate a neck (removed from the stringed instrument) or the entire instrument. The recessions can be left as formed or filled with a note reference filler to increase a contrast between the note reference and the fingerboard.

  • Publication number: 20130114842
Abstract: An adaptor for an ear bud headphone that adds an over-the-ear loop to enhance security of the placement of the ear bud headphones on the ear of the head phone user. An ear loop (that may or may not be adjustable in pivoting or up and down direction) is connected to a sheath receptacle that the ear bud snaps into. The contoured sheath is concave to follow the form of the ear bud. The ear bud wire passes through an open channel. The ear bud headphone securely held by the sheath. The tubular shaft, inherent in the ear bud design, is secured by fins that wrap around the tubular shaft.
