  • Patent number: 6640854
Abstract: The invention relates to a treatment unit with a cutting tool (1) for treating wood, plastic or the like. Said treatment unit comprises a suction hood (6) with a ring (17) that encircles the tool (1) completely in the circumferential direction and at least partially in the axial direction. The suction hood (6) is located on the side of the drive spindle of the tool (1). A chip receiving opening (10) is provided in the tool (1) in the vicinity of the blade (4), said opening traversing the tool (1) in both the axial and the radial direction. A chip formed at the blade (4) is transported through the chip receiving opening (10) to the suction hood (6) from where the chip is removed by air suction.

  • Patent number: 6454499
Abstract: The invention relative to a device for machining workpieces comprising: a chip removing, rotating tool (2) configured substantially as a hollow body including at least one cutter (4), a portion of the tool adjoining the cutter (4) being penetrated by a chip receiving opening (6) for communicating chips into a tool cavity; and an exhaust means including a stationary exhaust housing (10) configured substantially as a hollow body communicating with the cavity (8) at least in part and in connection with at least one exhaust air source; the communicating portion of the exhaust housing (10) comprising in the region of the cutter (4) a chip communicating window (26) porting into an exhaust passage (36) of the exhaust housing (10); and the exhaust passage comprising in an exhaust passage section upstream of the chip communicating window (26), relative to the exhaust direction, at least one auxiliary air infeed opening. The invention relates furthermore to a method for machining workpieces by means of one such device.

  • Publication number: 20010032554
Abstract: A processing center is disclosed that comprises at least one support capable of displacement in the X and Y axes, and preferably also in the Z axis, and at least one hot-stamping machine for applying a paint layer or a transfer layer, which is located on a support film, onto the surface of a workpiece and mainly onto the curved outline of a plate-shaped workpiece. The hot-stamping machine comprises an unwinding unit for unwinding the support film supporting the paint or transfer layer, a take-up unit for taking up the support film used, and at least one stamping cylinder which is rotationally mounted between the unwinding unit and the take-up unit and which can be applied onto the workpiece. The stamping cylinder is used for transferring the paint or transfer layer from the support film onto the workpiece.

  • Patent number: 6129027
Abstract: This invention concerns a processing machine, particularly for panel-shaped workpieces of wood or wood materials, which consists of: one or more processing stations which essentially lie in the same plane; at least one working unit which can travel over the work stations in three axes perpendicular to one another, and, a number of bearing rails upon which the displaceable carriage units are arranged in the plane of the work stations. The bearing rails have electrical and pneumatic supply interfaces for the carriage units and the supply interfaces are arranged linearly along the longitudinal direction of the bearing rail.

  • Patent number: 4750254
Abstract: A continuously operating one-sided formatting and edge shaping machine for edge processing four sides of work pieces is driven by a continuously running primary conveying means (10). A conveying device is mounted ahead of this single primary conveying means in the form of chain conveyors (18 and 20), which also operate continuously, so that a precisely aligned work piece can be transferred in this condition to the primary conveying means, for which purpose the two conveying means run synchronously with each other at least in the transfer area.
