  • Patent number: 5101491
Abstract: A synthesizer means for generating software for a computer which is programmed for controlling a physical system. The software generated by the synthesizer represents a new function to be incorporated in the existing system. The synthesizer includes a device for receiving a formal description representative of the new function in a specification language and for translating the specification into a base document. The base document is further processed by document processing devices for handling the static, interface and dynamic parts of the description to produce an error-free base document. The complete base document is translated by an information processing device into an internal code document which is used by a check device and a simulation device. A compiling device translates the internal code document into an intermediate code document suitable for input to said computer.

  • Patent number: 4760395
Abstract: A communications network (K) provides the integration of at least two networks with different network architectures, (SNA, DCNA, DECNET). The communications network as such exhibits its own specific network architecture (ICNA) independent of the aforementioned architectures. To the selector system (V) of the network are connected pieces of conversion equipment (CEI, CDI, CSI, CIE, CIS, CID). Pieces of equipment for different network architectures are capable of being linked via the aforementioned pieces of conversion equipment. Connections between equipment belonging to the specific network architecture (ICNA) and a second network architecture are routed via a piece of conversion equipment and connections between equipment belonging to two other network architectures are routed via two pieces of conversion equipment wired in series.

  • Patent number: 4577061
Abstract: A payment system utilizing a payment card (5) is employed for a telephone set (1) which forms part of the general telephone network and is connected to a telephone central office (2) via a subscriber's line (3). The telephone set and the telephone central office are provided with first devices which exchange first signals via the subscriber's line. The first devices include first subsidiary devices for identification of the payment card (5) concerned, second subsidiary devices for sensing of the residual value (5a) on the card, and third subsidiary devices for erasure and possible indication of the residual value on the card after this has been used for calls subject to a charge. The payment system also serves an installation separate from the telephone system, which can comprise an automatic parking installation. The letter includes a parking meter (14) and this and the telephone central office are provided with second devices which exchange second signals via the subscriber's line (3).
