  • Patent number: 4506373
Abstract: This invention relates to a resettable mechanical counter. It is an object of the invention to provide such a counter in which the means required to reset the counter constitute a key which can be removed from the counter and can be used to reset a plurality of counters so that the counters are simplified and can be manufactured at lower cost. This object is accomplished by the provision of a resetting slider, which is provided with disengaging cams and adapted to be inserted into tracks provided on the frame of the counter and to be removed from said frame.

  • Patent number: 4196985
Abstract: The frame-counting device is primarily intended for use with a film cassette in titling and lap dissolve operations. The film cassette contains an unexposed film having a series of perforations and is of the type having a side wall formed with an opening which defines a film plane and through which the film is exposed. The device includes the following structure: a housing having an aperture for receiving the film cassette with its open side wall ahead, a transport sprocket which is rotatably mounted in the housing and engageable with the perforations of the unexposed film of the cassette received in the aperture of the housing, and a member for shielding the film plane of the cassette as received in the aperture against an access of light. A counter is carried by the housing, which counter is readable from the outside and operatively connected inside the housing to the transport sprocket.

  • Patent number: 3934121
Abstract: The counter means serve for a counting of events. A counter is provided as well as a code detector adapted to receive a coded punched card in a predetermined position. Counter control means are operable to control said counter in response to the arrival of said card in said predetermined position. Said code detector comprises replaceable, pivoted code detector elements, which represent a predetermined code and are adapted to enter holes in said punched card if, and only if, said holes also represent said predetermined code. Said code detector prevents a movement of said card to said predetermined position unless said code detector elements have entered said holes in said card.
