Abstract: Lifting column, preferably for height adjustable tables, said lifting column comprising at least two relative to each other telescopically arranged members (2a, 2b, 2c). At least one slider (11) is arranged between the two members (2a, 2b, 2c), said slider being secured to one of the members (2b). The problem is play between the members (2a, 2b, 2c), resulting in an unstable lifting column. For solution of this problem the member (2b) to which the slider (11) is secured, is furnished with a resilient section (17) outlined by a groove (16, 18) against which at least a part of the slider (11) rests. The resilient section (17) can push the slider (11) into firm engagement against the two members (2b, 2c), at which a stable lifting column which is free from play is achieved.

Abstract: An item of furniture includes a frame mounting two adjustable sections which each includes a pivot shaft to cause pivoting of the respective section relative to the frame. Each pivot shaft mounts a claw-shaped arm having two legs. A dual linear actuator having openings at its opposite ends is suspended from the two claw-shaped arms and is operable to rotate the pivot shafts by engagement of sliding spindle nuts therein with the respective claw-shaped arms.

Abstract: A piece of furniture such as a bed or a chair, with an adjustable section (2, 3) adjustable about a pivot shaft (4) embedded in a frame (1). A claw shaped arm (5) intended for engagement with a spindle nut constructed as a sliding element in a linear drive is secured to the shaft (4) for adjustment of the section. The claw shaped arm (5) is with a simple punching and bending process made from a plate material. A correct mutual position of the two legs (13a, 13b) of the arm is obtained, as possibility for a good and stable fixing of the arm (5) on the pivot shaft (4) is achieve.
