    Abstract: An apparatus for a heat exchanger includes first and second flat tubes, a corrugated fin which is connected to and between said flat tubes and which is subjected to an air flow passing across the heat exchanger. The corrugated fin has a plurality of vanes or gills disposed transverse to the air flow direction and a stiffening bead formed thereon between two of the plurality of gills. The stiffening bead is disposed transverse to the air flow direction.
