  • Patent number: 10155196
Abstract: A catalytic converter reactor having in-built catalytic converter modules, wherein the total flow impingement surface area provided by the catalytic converter elements fitted in the catalytic converter modules is larger than the flow impingement surface area of the catalytic converter reactor, the module impingement surface area being defined by the catalytic converter module surfaces facing the main flow direction, and the catalytic converter modules being positioned so that the waste gas flows through the catalytic converter elements contained therein in a direction different from the flow direction on the intake and exit sides.

  • Publication number: 20160061082
Abstract: The invention relates to a catalyst module with internal fittings made of catalyst elements, wherein the surface area of the individual catalyst elements, against which flow is directed, is greater than the flow entry surface area of the catalyst module, wherein the surface of the module side facing the main direction of flow is defined as the module entry surface, and wherein the catalyst elements in the catalyst module are positioned such that flue gas glows through said elements in a direction differing from the entry side and/or the exit side direction of flow.

  • Publication number: 20050268584
Abstract: An arrangement for separating coarse ash particles from a flue gas stream is provided, and comprises at least one separation module that is in the form of a block and has a plurality of through channels disposed next to one another in the manner of a screen. The through channels form passages for the passage of flue gas, and each through channel has a cross-sectional area that is less than a cross-section of the coarse ash particles that are to be separated or removed. A side of the separation module that is adapted to receive a flow of the flue gas is made of a ceramic material or of a sintered material having a high mechanical resistance to wear. A holding device is provided for holding the separation module.
