  • Publication number: 20130170922
Abstract: A method for producing metallic washers (1) for locking in bolted joints, a washer having an annular configuration and on one side (9) a pattern of radially extending cams (10) and on the other side having a pattern of radially extending teeth (3), the washers on at least the side (2) having the pattern of teeth having a surface with a hardness preferably exceeding the hardness of the material to interact with the washer pattern of teeth in a locking operation. The method is especially characterized in the steps of—coating a batch of washers (1) with a corrosion resistant outer surface layer (7), the hardness of which exceeding the hardness of the material (6) to interact with the washer pattern of teeth (3) in a locking operation. The present invention also relates to a washer and a plant.

  • Patent number: 8297794
Abstract: The method is for directing light in a fluorescent piece. Sequentially placed wedge-shaped pieces form a multiple-piece arrangement. Each piece has a base surface and a sloping top surface so that there is a first pointed end at one end and a short end surface at a second opposite end thereof. The pieces are exposed to light beams that hit fluorescent particles disposed inside the pieces. As a result, the particles emit a fluorescent light that are reflected off the inner surfaces of each piece as long as the light beams do not hit the surface at a perpendicular angle. The light beams are directed to penetrate the short end of each piece to form a continuous illuminated surface.

  • Publication number: 20110310612
Abstract: The method is for directing light in a fluorescent piece. Sequentially placed wedge-shaped pieces (40-48) form a multiple-piece arrangement (38). Each piece has a base surface (12) and a sloping top surface (14) so that there is a first pointed end (20) at one end and a short end surface (18) at a second opposite end thereof. The pieces (40-48) are exposed to light beams that hit fluorescent particles (24) disposed inside the pieces. As a result, the particles emit a fluorescent light that are reflected off the inner surfaces of each piece as long as the light beams do not hit the surface at a perpendicular angle. The light beams (52a-52e) are directed to penetrate the short end of each piece to form a continuous illuminated surface (53).

  • Publication number: 20020088155
Abstract: A sign unit which is adapted to be supported with at least a portion exposed to incident light, comprising a sheet-like device (1) with a front (3) exhibiting the information of the sign unit and with a back (4) opposite to the front. At least one light-emitting member (2) is arranged on the sheet-like device. The light-emitting member (2) has a front end (5) which is positioned at or in front of the front (3) of the sheet-like device (1) and a rear opposite end (6). Said member (2) is made of a fluorescent plastic material and has a thickness which is considerably smaller than its length between said front (5) and rear (6) ends and the member (2) is adapted to absorb, between said ends (5, 6), incident light (13) and conduct this to the front end (5) for emission (26) at the front (3) of the sign unit.

  • Patent number: 6085427
Abstract: A sight includes an elongated rod-shaped element of light absorbing and light guiding material, and a holding arrangement closely surrounding portions of the rod-shaped element for holding the rod-shaped element. A fastening arrangement is adapted to connect the holding arrangement to a firearm. The holding arrangement includes a first sleeve device, the first sleeve device enclosing an end portion of the rod-shaped element, the first sleeve device being, during operation of the firearm by a shooter, arranged proximate an active eye and a non-active eye of the shooter, a second sleeve device, the second sleeve device enclosing the opposite end portion of the rod-shaped element, and a plurality of thin flange members, the flange members being arranged in a spaced-apart relationship between the sleeve devices.
