  • Patent number: 5625909
Abstract: Sanitary appliance (washbasin, bidet, bath, sink, etc . . . ) which comprises a main basin (2) in conjunction with an adjoining chamber (4), but where the basin (2) and the chamber (4) are separated from one another by an at least partially removable wall (3). The water in the basin (2) is in contact with chamber (4) via openings (14). The chamber (4) is provided with a discharge conduit which at the same time forms the overflow (15). Said discharge conduit is a virtually upright pipe (7, 8) which in the open state discharges the water and in the closed state retains the water in the basin. At least a portion of the removable wall (3) is joined to at least a portion of the upright pipe. FIG. 1a.

  • Patent number: 4991623
Abstract: An automatic air valve for a conduit, through which passes fluids and/or solids, which valve prevents the discharge of contaminated air therefrom into the environment and which further permits the introduction of fresh air from the environment into the conduit when a negative pressure develops therein. The valves may be disposed at either the terminus of or interposed within the conduit flow line of a duct system. The valves include an interior filter that restrains foreign objects, such as insects and snakes, in the duct systems from operatively interfering with the proper operation of the valve.

  • Patent number: 4974632
Abstract: An automatic air valve for a conduit, through which passes fluids and/or solids, which valve utilizes a freely-movable valve member to prevent the discharge of contaminated air therefrom into the environment and to permit the introduction of fresh air from the environment into the conduit when a negative pressure develops therein. The air valves may be disposed at either the terminus of or interposed within the conduit flow line of a duct system. The air valves include an interior filter that restrains foreign objects, such as insects and snakes, in the duct system from operatively interfering with the freely-movable valve member. Means is also included for preventing the interior filter to move or to be moved into a position wherein the interior filter may operatively interfere with the freely-movable valve member. The interior filters are nonplanar in shape, so as to provide a total air passage area that is substantially the same as the air passage area that is present without the interior filter.

  • Patent number: 4777676
Abstract: A sanitary appliance comprising a main basin (11) and an adjacent chamber (1) separated from said basin by a wall (3), said main basin being provided with an outlet (2) communicating with said chamber, said chamber being also provided with an outlet (5), the appliance further comprising an opening and closing device (7) mounted in the chamber and operated from outside the chamber, said device comprising an upstanding pipe movable between a closing position wherein it prevents liquid to flow from the outlet of the main basin directly to the outlet of the chamber, and an open position, wherein it permits such liquid flow; at least a part of the wall (3) separating the chamber and the main basin being removable.

  • Patent number: 4535807
Abstract: The device includes a tubular body, an annular flap cooperating with the tubular body, and a cover cooperating with the tubular body to form a channel or peripheral air inlet beneath the annular flap, which channel is closed by the latter. When a partial vacuum occurs in the conduit connected to the device, the annular flap is raised by the incoming ambient air upwardly and into the internal space defined by the inner periphery of the cover. The annular flap is provided with external guiding lugs oriented downwardly and which cooperate with ribs integrally formed on the outside of the tubular body.

  • Patent number: 4524795
Abstract: The present invention relates to a waste water outlet for a sanitary plant, comprising a siphon forming a water seal to which is connected a waste pipe for connection with sewers and in which an automatic air valve device and a siphon are combined in one single apparatus so that their functions are complementary. A cylindrical body having a permanent water seal and into which extends an inlet pipe or equivalent connected to an apparatus such as a sink, a basin or waste outlet, is combined with an automatic air valve with peripheral air entry. Outside the inlet pipe extending into the water seal is an internal partition which separates the water seal and the automatic valve device situated at the upper part of the cylindrical body, thereby protecting the valve device against a raising or splashing of the liquid situated in the water seal.

  • Patent number: 4440406
Abstract: A device for the connection of pipes of whatever section or of pipes with elements forming part of a plant such as housings or tubular bodies of whatever section provided in automatic valves or other apparatus. The device comprises a muff of a flexible material provided on its inner periphery with a tightening membrane in the shape of a lip or of a hat. The device is characterized by cooperation with the lip of guiding or centering means for the pipes to be introduced. The guiding or centering means consist of a piece (6) formed of a series of rings (7, 8, 9) of different sizes which are coaxially maintained in their respective places by cross pieces (10). The outer ring (9) of the centering piece is connected by arms or holders (11) to a fixing collar (ring) (12) which in general is introduced into a groove (13) provided in the interior of the muff.
