  • Patent number: 5142054
Abstract: Disclosed are new 1,3-dioxenones having the formulae ##STR1## in an optically pure state, a process for preparing same and the use thereof.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 12, 1991
Date of Patent: August 25, 1992
    Assignee: Studiengesellschaft Kohle mbH
    Inventors: Kurt Schaffner, Martin Demuth
  • Patent number: 5036749
Abstract: A guiding tube is mounted on the buffer cylinder at the rear end of an automatic firearm. On this guiding tube, a safety ring is fitted in non-rotatable but axially displaceable manner. In a forward operating position the safety ring prevents depressing the trigger, and thus, any firing. In a backward operating position of the safety ring the trigger may be freely actuated. This safety arrangement is simple in design and operation, and it may easily be mounted on existing weapons.

  • Patent number: 4941692
Abstract: Carbon or graphite tubes which are mutually connected by an adhesive connection are less stressable than individual tubes. A sleeve formed of fibers and impregnated with a thermoplast is pulled onto the connection position. The new connection increases the stressability of connected tubes. The thermoplast limits the build up of stressing so that the reduction factor of the strength of the connection amounts only to 10 to 15%.

  • Patent number: 4921283
Abstract: Carbon or graphite tubes which are mutually connected by bonding are less highly stressable than individual tubes. A sleeve formed of fibers is drawn on to the connection location of the tubes. An intermediate section of the sleeve is firmly connected with the tubes. Foils are introduced between end sections of the sleeve and the tubes. The foils are displaceable in the direction of the tube axes. This structure increases the resistance of the connected tubes to stress. The strength reduction factor of the connection is about 10% as compared to the tubes alone.

  • Patent number: 4461687
Abstract: New bicyclo[2.2.2]oct-5-en-2-ones of the formulae Ia and Ib in the form of pure enantiomers and processes for preparing them are described. The compounds are used for the preparation of pure enantiomers of the formula V by sensitized photoreaction or of pure enantiomers of the formula VI by unsensitized photoreaction.

  • Patent number: 4092900
Abstract: A weapon system containing a gun mount upon which there is mounted to be pivotable about an elevation alignment axis an automatic firing weapon or gun containing an ammunition container or magazine. A reloading container having an ammunition outlet opening is arranged at the gun mount. There is provided a conveyor device, by means of which sets of cartridges located in the reloading container can be brought to the outlet opening from which location these cartridges can be refilled into the ammunition container. The reloading container is displaceably arranged at the gun mount and its outlet opening can be brought into alignment with an inlet opening of the ammunition container which has been pivoted into an ammunition loading position. The conveyor device comprises transport elements which can be moved together with the sets of cartridges out of the reloading container into the ammunition container.

  • Patent number: 3973458
Abstract: A device for punching holes in program strips, which device includes a punch and die mechanism and a carriage for positioning a program strip. The carriage is mounted so as to be movable simultaneously in two mutually perpendicular directions in a plane, thereby permitting rapid and exact positioning of the strip relative to the punch and die. A first locking plate is fixed to the carriage and is provided with guide means which constrain the motion of the carriage in the direction of advancement of the program strip. A second locking plate is meshed with the first locking plate and controls the transverse position of the carriage. Both locking plates are provided with means for locking the carriage against further motion once the position of the carriage has been set.
