Abstract: A coupling for use in supplying air pressure to an air driven pump on a pallet is disclosed. The male half of the coupling is affixed to a pallet changing station and the female half is suspended from a pallet. Suspension of the female half from the pallet enables the male and the female half to couple despite misalignment. The male half includes two pistons and the female half includes a power port, a vent port and a central port. The power port is connected to an air driven hydraulic pump and the control port is connected to a pilot on a four-way valve. The hydraulic pump operates vides contained on the pallets. The number of vices operable is only limited by the capacity of the hydraulic reservoir located in the pallet.

Abstract: An axis reference probe for locating reference surfaces and determining tool lengths. The axis reference probe is used in conjunction with a computer controlled machine. The axis reference probe has a body and a first bore extending longitudinally through said body. A plunger having a cam surface thereon, a spring, a spring retainer, and a plug reside generally in said first bore. A second bore is oriented transversely with respect to said first bore and communicates therewith, and, a gage residing primarily in said second bore. The gage has a cam following actuation arm which follows movement of said cam and translates longitudinal movement of said plunger into rotary indication on said gage. The spring retainer and plug are affixed to said body.

Abstract: A bar puller for use for example on chuck type bar stock machines which includes in combination a mounting member for normal attachment to the turret of the machine. First and second jaw members are pivotally mounted to the mounting member for movement between first and second positions and each jaw member has a facing stock engaging surface to engage a piece of bar stock. Spring means constantly urge the jaws toward the first position so as to grip a piece of bar stock when the bar stock is held by the engaging surface.
