  • Patent number: 6164488
Abstract: A container having an integral lid hinged about the wall of the container to selectively close and seal the same on demand. Integral walls extend from the bottom portion of the device to form the container, the top portion terminates in a rim and a sealing ridge. Integral to one of the walls of the container is a lid formed by a crease within one of the walls, which crease defines the bottom end of the lid. The lid's top end is matched to the shape of the top portion of the container for conforming and locking therewith in the closed position, the lid extending above the top portion of the cup, forming a spout and a lid, at least one aperture formed in the lid to facilitate dispensing of the contents from the container when the lid is in the closed position.

  • Patent number: 6086521
Abstract: An exercise device is provided, which is of simple and inexpensive construction, compact, lightweight, and portable, and allows the user to use his or her own weight to create a form of resistance in performing a variety of exercise routines directed to different muscle groups of the body. The exercise device is comprised of a support platform that carries the user and is pivotally connected to an upper location of a base frame that rests on a flat surface, a lifting bar that is pivotally attached to the base frame, a carrier bar that is adjustably attached to the lifting bar and is also pivotally attached to a lower location of the support platform, wherein upon raising of the lifting bar, the carrier bar is raised, which in turn causes the support platform carrying the user thereon to pivot about its connection to the base frame and be raised. In this manner, the exercise device utilizes the weight of the user as a counterweight resistance to the raising of the lifting arm.

  • Patent number: 5172743
Abstract: A retractable awning for attachment to a structure, such as the side of a recreational vehicle, is provided. The awning includes a shade adapted to be moved from a furled position in which the awning is secured adjacent to the vehicle to an unfurled position in which the shade provides protection from sun and rain. The awning has an upper rafter bar and a lower upright support and a locking structure for locking the rafter bar in an extended position. This locking structure can be remotely released through the use of a release arm. The awning also includes a locking structure for locking the rafter bar to the upright support. This locking structure includes a locking pin located on the rafter bar and a locking keeper slidably mounted on the upright. The upright comprises a first channel member slidably mounted within a second channel member through the use of a slider structure. The slider structure comprises a low friction surface, such as an ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene material.
