  • Patent number: 7645404
Abstract: A composition for producing a protective coat against scaling on metallic surfaces. The composition includes, as binders, hydrolysates/condensates of at least one silane or a silicone resin binder and also, further, at least one metallic filler.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 9, 2007
Date of Patent: January 12, 2010
Assignees: Volkswagen AG, Nano-X GmbH, Thyssenkrupp Steel AG
Inventors: Uwe Paar, Stefan Sepeur, Stefan Goedicke, Kurt Steinhoff
  • Publication number: 20100000073
Abstract: The object of the invention is a method for producing at least two plane functional surfaces extending parallel to each other on a pipe (3) having a curved, such as round, or a polygonal cross-section wherein the length of each functional surface extends only across part of the length of the pipe (3) between two smooth cylindrical rollers (4, 5) disposed in a roller frame, wherein keeping with the desired two-dimensional extension of the functional surfaces the pipe (3) is guided, preferably multiple times, between the rollers in accordance with the desired degree of deformation.
    Type: Application

  • Publication number: 20060165805
Abstract: A magnetic pole matrix chip facilitating the grinding of magnetic particles carrying matter effective for treating a disease or promoting tissue engineering to a disease site or a tissue engineering site, respectively
    Type: Application
    Filed: December 22, 2005
    Publication date: July 27, 2006
Inventors: Gustav Steinhoff, Kurt Steinhoff, Wenzhong Li, Nan Ma
  • Patent number: 6600126
Abstract: Guiding means being arranged on a surface area of a shell are made of high purity nickel by build-up welding. This avoids a drag-in of copper into a gun barrel foreseen for the launch of a shell. A production of the guiding means in the build-up welding process allows a reliable fixing of the guiding means directly onto the shell body.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 15, 2001
Date of Patent: July 29, 2003
    Assignee: Ruag Components
    Inventors: Kurt Steinhoff, Matthias Schupfer
  • Patent number: 6547896
Abstract: A process for the production of a material made of a metal alloy for subsequent forming of the material in the semi-solid state, provides that the metal alloy (X) is brought to a starting temperature that is above the liquidus. An additive is added which is capable of reducing an interfacial surface energy between the solid phase and the liquid phase after the metal alloy has been mixed with the additive and transformed into the semi-solid state. The volume fraction of the additive (Z) is selected in such a way that, in the semi-solid material at a liquid phase fraction (fL) of 15% to 75%, the grain size (D) and the degree of skeletization (fSCS) during a holding time (t) of more than 15 minutes remain essentially constant in order to retain the formability of a suspension.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 27, 2001
Date of Patent: April 15, 2003
    Assignee: Ruag Munition
Inventors: Peter J. Uggowitzer, Gian-Carlo Gullo, Markus O. Speidel, Kurt Steinhoff
