  • Patent number: 6796151
Abstract: A method and a device for dyeing a textile substrate in at least one supercritical fluid, are described, whereby the textile substrate is arranged in an autoclave, where at least one supercritical fluid loaded with a dyestuff flows over and/or through the textile substrate, and the at least one powdered dyestuff is brought in contact with the supercritical fluid, forming a stable solution and/or dispersion of the dyestuff in the supercritical fluid. The quantity of dyestuff required for dyeing is divided into a plurality of dyestuff partial quantities, and each partial quantity of dyestuff is separately brought in contact with the supercritical fluid until this partial quantity of dyestuff is dissolved or dispersed. Hereafter the next partial quantity of dyestuff is introduced into the supercritical fluid, and this process is repeated several times until the total quantity of dyestuff has been introduced into the supercritical fluid.

  • Patent number: 5938794
Abstract: A method for the dyeing of a textile substrate, particularly for the dyeing of a polyester yarn wound upon a bobbin, is described, in which the textile substrate to be dyed is arranged within an autoclave and superfused, respectively perfused, with a supercritical fluid containing at least one dye, whereby an auxiliary fluid is loaded with the at least one dye, whereby the auxiliary fluid in brought into contact with the supercritical fluid and whereby hereafter the textile substrate is perfused, respectively superfused, with the supercritical fluid containing the at least one dye.

  • Patent number: 5474812
Abstract: A method is described for application a lubricant onto a sewing yarn. The sewing yarn to be lubricated is prepared as heap of yarn or as wound package. This heap respectively this package is superfused or perfused with a bath containing said lubricant. As fluid a supercritical fluid is selected. Whereby after the perfusion respectively the superfusion a temperature reduction, a pressure reduction and/or a volume increase is performed.

  • Patent number: 5429868
Abstract: A yarn, especially a sewing yarn, comprises at least two multifile yarn components. The first yarn component forms mainly the core of the yarn and the second yarn component forms mainly the jacket of the yarn. The two yarn components are intermingled with one another. The monofilaments of the second yarn component have a specific strength which amounts to between 5% and 70%, especially between 10% and 50%, of the specific strength of the monofilaments of the first yarn component.

  • Patent number: 5375310
Abstract: A method is described of drawing a pre-oriented multifilament yarn (POY yarn). Hereby the multifilament yarn is fed from a delivery godet, around which it is wrapped, at a first velocity into a main drawing zone and removed from the main drawing zone at a second velocity by a drawing-off godet around which it is wrapped. The drawing in the main drawing zone takes place between the delivery godet and the drawing-off godet whereby the drawing-off godet is heated to a temperature of between 160.degree. C. and 240.degree. C. The first and the second velocities are so adjusted with respect to each other that the second velocity is 70% to 180% greater than the first velocity.

  • Patent number: 5146738
Abstract: A thread, suitable for use as a sewing thread, and having increased tenacity and reduced thermal shrinkage properties. A multi-filament core yarn for the thread is formed from a preoriented yarn having a titre of 100 dtex-1,000 dtex which has been turned around an unheated pin of less than 10 mm diameter, heated to a temperature of 100.degree.-200.degree. C. for 0.01-10 seconds, and drawn with a drawing ratio equal to or greater than a normal drawing ratio. At least one effect yarn is intermingled with the core yarn to form a core-jacket thread having loops, not more than 15% of which are drawn tight in a knot-like manner.

  • Patent number: 5083419
Abstract: In a method and apparatus for producing a yarn, a synthetic pre-oriented multifilament yarn is fed at a first velocity to a non-heated pin having a diameter less than 10 mm. After turning the yarn around the pin for an angle between 270.degree. and 360.degree., the yarn is heated to a temperature between 100.degree. C. and 250.degree. C. for between 0.01 sec and 10 sec. The yarn is then drawn off the pin at a second viscosity higher than the first velocity.
