    Abstract: A cigar cutter employing a scissors action is presented by the present invention. Parallel blades move in side-by-side relationship about a pivot point. The blades are provided with handles to permit gripping in the palm of the hand of a user. Since the blades are mounted for movement about a pivot point, a mechanical advantage is obtained which increases the force applied over simple linear movement.
