Abstract: Torch lamp systems and flame lamp assemblies for producing swirling flames are disclosed herein. In one embodiment, a flame lamp assembly for providing a flame having a continuous spiral movement can include a plurality of spaced apart panels and a frame for supporting the panels to form a chamber for housing the flame. The frame can support the panels such that adjacent panels are spaced apart at panel junctions to create a plurality of air intake slots. The plurality of air intake slots can be in communication with the chamber to allow air to flow from an external environment into the chamber at an angle to provide vortical air flow within the chamber. The assembly can also include a burner assembly configured to receive fuel from a fuel source and to provide a fuel flow from a fuel release point to the chamber for ignition to provide the flame.

Abstract: A direct vent fireplace installation assembly is provided that includes a furniture unit having an enlarged receptacle well above the ground, and a direct vent fireplace unit positioned in the receptacle of the furniture unit. The fireplace unit has a firebox contained in an outer housing, a burner assembly in the firebox, and a contoured surround positioned in and spaced apart from walls of the firebox. A chimney is coupled to the firebox. In one embodiment, the fireplace unit is mounted in a receptacle in a wall structure positioned above the floor, at approximately eye level. The sound system includes an amplifier, one or more speakers, and a connector for connecting to a music player.

Abstract: A device for the ornamental display of the interaction of fire and water allowing the spray of a water fountain to be combined with flame from a gas burner is described. The device includes one or more gas burners configured amongst one or more water dispersion assemblies. The water streams from the nozzles of the water dispersion assemblies of the fountain can be directed toward, through, and over the flames originating from the gas burners. The flames originating burners are protected from being extinguished by a water shield. The water shield is positioned in such a manner to influence the characteristics of the flame produced by the burner while still protecting the flames' integrity. The water and fire aspect of the device can operate independently providing a fire source with a reflecting pool or a water fountain absent the flames.
