  • Publication number: 20180296381
Abstract: A guide joint (1) and a joint orthosis (2) provided with the guide joint for supporting and guiding an anatomical joint (7). The guide joint (1) has a first joint member (3) and a second joint member (4), and the joint members (3, 4) are connected to one another by a first linear guide (5) and a second linear guide (6). Each of the linear guides (5,6) has a guide track (10, 11) formed in the second joint member (4) as a slot or groove, in which in each case a sliding element (12, 13) arranged in the first joint member (3) engages, wherein the guide tracks (10, 11) intersect. The two sliding elements (12, 13) are spatially separate and spaced apart and protrude from a lateral surface of the first joint member (3).

  • Patent number: 9107735
Abstract: A hinge for knee joint orthoses, prostheses and/or braces includes first and second hinge brackets overlappingly connected to each other at their ends so that with increasing angle therebetween, a combined rolling and sliding movement is effected in a plane defined by the two hinge brackets. Curves and guide elements at the overlapping ends of the hinge brackets interact such that with increasing angle therebetween, a combined rolling and sliding movement of the second hinge bracket is effected in the plane defined by the two hinge brackets in a direction which leads substantially radial to the axis of the first hinge bracket into the quadrant enclosed between the two hinge brackets, wherein the center of rotation of the two hinge brackets remains substantially stationary for an angle between the hinge brackets of between 0 and 25°.

  • Publication number: 20120296248
Abstract: A support body (1) for knee orthoses and/or knee joint braces in the form of a splint (2) which extends along and partially encloses the lower leg of a wearer and is connected at the upper end to an orthosis hinge or a hinge of a knee joint brace and which is provided at a lower end with a foot part (3) receiving at least the heel of a wearer. At the upper end of the splint (2), two connection points (4) for the knee orthosis and/or knee joint braces are arranged laterally to the wearer's leg, which connection points transition into a section which runs downward at the wearer's shin bone along the leg and which, on its part, transitions again above the wearer's ankle region into two connecting parts (6) which run laterally to the leg to the foot part (3).
