  • Patent number: 8777610
Abstract: For a simplified method for heating a pre-warmed muffle used for dental ceramics in a dental furnace, wherein a saving of time in heating before the pressing and also a parallel heating of the muffles should be made possible, the following steps are suggested: a) heating of the muffle to a maximal temperature (Tmax), which is above the pressing temperature (Tpress), in which pressing is carried out, b) possibly keeping the muffle at a maximal temperature (Tmax) during a first pause (t-1), c) cooling of the muffle to a minimal temperature (Tmin), which is at most as high as the pressing temperature (Tpress), and d) keeping the muffle at a minimal temperature (Tmin) during a second pause (t2). In addition, a corresponding control device for the dental furnace and a furnace equipped with this kind of control device are produced.

  • Publication number: 20100047731
Abstract: The invention relates to a dental furnace (1) comprising a hood-shaped combustion chamber (3) with a heating element (12) that is placed therein and an opening (13), and a closing plate (4) which is arranged so as to be movable relative to the combustion chamber (3) and is used for accommodating a material (5) that is to be baked, particularly a tooth replacement object. Said dental furnace (1) further comprises a sensor (31) for determining the combustion chamber temperature. In order to optimize the drying time and closing time, a measuring instrument (7b) is provided for recording the actual value of the position of the closing plate relative to the combustion chamber (3) while an arithmetic unit (51) is provided for determining the deviation from the comparison between the determined actual value and a defined required value so as to derive a control variable for triggering the relative position between the closing plate (4) and the combustion chamber (5).

  • Publication number: 20070082307
Abstract: The aim of the invention is to provide a reliable and efficient operation of a dental furnace (1) for producing compacted ceramics, comprising a hood-shaped firing chamber (3), into which a muffle (5) can be inserted and which is closed during operation by a bottom plate (4), and a pneumatic cylinder (10) whose working pressure can be adjusted by a pressure reducer is mounted on the firing chamber (3). To this end, the invention provides that at least two pressure reducers (9a, 9b) are each provided with a different working pressure or the pressure reducer is provided in the form of a proportional pressure regulator with electronically controllable different working pressures. The pressure reducers (9a, 9b, . . . ) or the proportional pressure regulator are/is coupled to a program unit, particularly to a memory card, inside of which different heating and/or compacting processes are stored.

  • Publication number: 20060151480
Abstract: The aim of the invention is to simplify a method for the production of dentures made of pressed ceramics in the field of dental technology, comprising the following steps; producing a muffle, introducing the muffle into the dental ceramic press furnace, heating a ceramic pellet and pressing a press ceramic object. A free area (25) is formed on the base of the muffle (50), which allows thermal radiation to pass through. The invention also relates to a corresponding dental ceramic press furnace and an associated muffle.

  • Patent number: 5033238
Abstract: A dental technician's work station is provided with a hand-held machining device and a suction device for removal of dust resulting from machining. Connection of the machining device to the suction device by a common data bus is provided, and the parameters corresponding to the machining device are input and used to control both the hand-held machining device and the suction device. The suction device is thus always adjusted automatically to match the respective handling step using a specific machining bit. An especially fast and certain adjustment of the machining unit and/or the suction device by means of selector keys is effected, these keys having respective symbols for the particular machining bits utilized. The speed of the matching unit and, in an especially advantageous embodiment, the suction device as well, are thus adjusted correctly and simultaneously with a single key stroke.
