    Abstract: A stand for a knitting machine provides for easily moving the machine from a first knitting position to a second knitting position by tilting the machine relative to the stand. The second knitting position is adjustably set by the user of the knitting machine. A tilt locking mechanism is mounted to lock the position of the machine relative to the stand in the first position, the second position, or any position in-between. The legs of the stand are removable for storage and transportation of the stand and storage trays may be mounted on the legs.
