Abstract: Systems, methods, and other embodiments associated with a message recognition system configurable to define new message formats and interpret electronic transaction messages are described. In one embodiment, a method includes analyzing an electronic transaction message received from a remote device to determine a message type of the electronic transaction message. A message type data structure is queried to determine whether the message type is defined in the message type data structure. A message type configuration interface comprising one or more input fields for defining the message type is generated. Parameters are received via the one or more input fields of the message type configuration interface, and a message type definition is generated based upon the one or more parameters. The message type data structure is reconfigured to include the message type definition.

Abstract: One embodiment provides a method, including: receiving, at an information handling device, a user input to play media files associated with a media file type from a playlist comprising a plurality of media files; analyzing, using a processor, the plurality of media files to identify at least one media file not associated with the media file type; disregarding, at least temporarily, based on the analyzing, the at least one media file; and providing, based on the disregarding, output of a media file from the playlist other than the at least temporarily disregarded at least one media file. The approach detects a number of content sharing actions involving multimedia content, such as digital photographs, with the detecting being from a number of content handling applications, such as social media sites and person-to-person sharing. One of the content handling applications is a content player, such as a image viewer, that runs on a portable device, such as a smart phone or tablet computer system. The approach computes a shared content score for each of the multimedia content, with the shared content score being based on the content handling application that was used in the content sharing actions. The approach further identifies “favorite” multimedia content based on the shared content score pertaining to each multimedia content.
