    Abstract: There is provided a self-diagnostic apparatus of a magnetic coupling type. The self-diagnostic apparatus according to an embodiment includes: a signal detection line which is magnetic-coupled with an RF signal line through a magnetic coupling loop; and a signal detector configured to detect a size and a phase of an RF signal by detecting a current flowing through the signal detection line. Accordingly, the apparatus grasps and diagnoses respective operation states of channels by itself in a beamforming system, without increasing and a size of the system and degrading performance.

    Abstract: There is provided a quasi-circulator. The quasi-circulator includes: a first coupler having an input end connected to a transmission end; a first amplifier having an input end connected to an output end of the first coupler; a second amplifier having an input end connected to the output end of the first coupler; a second coupler having one end connected to an output end of the first amplifier and an output end of the second amplifier, and the other end connected to an antenna; and a third coupler having one end connected to the output end of the first amplifier and the output end of the second amplifier, and the other end connected to a reception end. Accordingly, a loss occurring at the quasi-circulator is minimized, and eventually, efficiency of an RF FEM employed in an ultrahigh frequency radar system is enhanced.

A Lange coupler according to an embodiment includes: first lines which are formed in a spiral shape, and have a first port and a second port formed at one end thereof and have connection ends formed at the other end thereof; and second lines which are formed in a spiral shape, and have connection ends formed at one end thereof to be connected to the connection ends of the first lines, and have a third port and a fourth port formed at the other end thereof. Accordingly, the Lange coupler maintains broadband characteristics while minimizing its area, so that it is possible to design a small component for mobile communication and to noticeably reduce an insertion loss.

    Abstract: Provided is a switch having a structure having an excellent isolation characteristic even without a limiter in an ultrahigh frequency hand used for a military component. A switch according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: multiple transistors which are connected in parallel to a path from an input terminal toward an output terminal and perform switching; and a first transmission line provided between the input terminal and a node on a path to which a first transistor is connected. By the present invention, switching can be performed in an ultrahigh frequency such as W-band while a GaN transistor is used, an insertion loss is low, an isolation characteristic is excellent, and eventually efficiency of an ultrahigh frequency circuit can be further enhanced.

In a transmission mode, the transmitting end transformer is tuned on, and, in a reception mode, the receiving end transformer is turned on. Accordingly, since switching is performed based on transformers rather than transistors connected in series, the RS switch, which can achieve high linearity and low insertion loss as well as high isolation, can be implemented.
