  • Patent number: 11040016
Abstract: The present invention relates to a use of D-chiro-inositol, pinitol, or analog compounds thereof for preventing or treating female menopausal symptoms. The active ingredient compound of the present invention has an effect of increasing the activity of female hormones by increasing the blood concentration of 17?-estradiol and lowering the blood concentration of sex hormone-binding globulin. Therefore, the active ingredient compound of the present invention can be developed as a drug or a nutraceutical for preventing, alleviating or treating female menopausal symptoms. The active ingredient of the present invention is derived from a natural product, and thus, unlike an agonist of female sex hormones or chemically synthesized sex hormones, has very few side effects when applied to the human body.

  • Patent number: 7697227
Abstract: A hard disk drive includes a disk pack having at least one disk for recording and/or storing data and a spindle motor that support and rotates the disk, a base to which the disk pack is mounted, a cover that covers an upper surface of the base, and a respective filter disposed close to each of at least one of the major surfaces of the disk and extending in the radial direction of the disk including over at least an inner peripheral region of the disk. The filter has an absorbent layer capable of absorbing particles that come in contact with it. Particles on the surface of the disk, from the inner to the outer peripheral regions of the disk, are removed by the filter when the disk is rotated and the particles are flung off of the disk. Thus, particles will not damage the magnetic head(s) of the hard disk drive nor will the particles cause errors to occur in the recording and/or reproducing of data.

  • Publication number: 20040061965
Abstract: A hard disk drive with a housing having a base plate and a cover plate. A spindle motor is installed on the base plate. A disk is installed on the spindle motor to store data. An actuator has a magnetic head to record and reproduce data on the disk, is installed on the base plate, and is pivoted by a voice coil motor. A printed circuit board is installed on a bottom surface of the base plate. A through hole, where servo track information is recorded on a recording surface of the disk, is positioned in the base plate, and a hole cover made of a metal plate exhibiting an electric conductivity and covering the through hole, is attached to the bottom surface of the base plate to block an electromagnetic wave generated by the printed circuit board from being transferred to the inside of the housing.
