  • Publication number: 20100067508
Abstract: Provided is a method for selecting a serving PNC at a wireless device in a wireless mesh network for data communication. In the method, an initial PNC is selected if data is generated to transmit. Then, an initial MAC frame size is decided and data communication is performed with the selected initial serving PNC. A PNC having a best channel state is reselected from PNCs in a same coverage as a serving PNC after selecting the initial serving PNC. A MAC frame size is decided for the reselected serving PNC and data communication with the reselected serving PNC is performed. The data communication is terminated if a FER of the reselected serving PNC is larger than a maximum allowable FER or if there is no data to transmit after the data communication is performed.

  • Publication number: 20100054306
Abstract: A signal transmitting device detects information on respective frequencies of a plurality of subcarriers configuring an interference signal and information on respective voltage values of the subcarrier from the received interference signal, and modulates data according to the ultra-wideband scheme through subcarriers of part of predetermined bandwidths based on frequency information and voltage value information to generate ultra-wideband signals. Accordingly, signal interference with a heterogeneous communication device can be reduced by detecting an interference signal when an absolute value of the interference signal is small or noise power of the interference signal is large.

  • Publication number: 20100046435
Abstract: Provided are a routing table generating method, a data transmission method, and a routing route formation method for multi-hop communication in high rate wireless personal networks. In a high rate WPAN environment including a plurality of piconets, a piconet controller (PNC), which performs a topology server function to provide the optimal route, collects link state information from the PNCs or DEVs (devices) belonging to a sub-tree that serves as a root and applies a minimum cost algorithm based on the collected link state information to calculate the optimal route for all pairs of originations and destinations existing within the sub-tree in consideration of QoS. The optimal route information is transmitted to the origination PNC via the destination PNC/DEV. During performing this, the optimal route between the pairs of originations and destinations is set.

  • Publication number: 20100040129
Abstract: Provided are a channel equalization and carrier recovery method and a receiving apparatus thereof. In the method, a receiver of the high speed wireless communication system obtains an initial value of a channel equalization coefficient through non-causal channel estimation in a frequency domain during a preamble transmission section of a packet. High-order QAM signal correction for updating the channel equalization coefficient in a time domain is performed during a data transmission section of the packet. when a payload section starts in the data transmission section of the packet, channel equalization coefficient tracking is performed on the basis of frequency domain decision, and a hard decision of a correction value by the high-order QAM signal correction in the time domain is made to correct carrier phase errors, so that the channel equalization coefficient is updated.
