    Abstract: Various embodiments of the present disclosure relate to an apparatus and a method for outputting content in an electronic device, the electronic device comprises: a display located inside a housing and exposed through a portion of a first plate; a pressure sensor circuit, which detects pressure applied to the first plate by an external force; a wireless communication circuit; a display driving circuit; at least one processor; and a memory, wherein, the memory stores instructions for causing the processor to: perform control such that the display driving circuit displays at least one graphical element on a selected region of the display having a black background screen image while at least a portion of the processor is in a sleep mode; detect a change in pressure by using the pressure sensor circuit; and inactivate the display in response to the detected pressure change. Other embodiments are possible.
