    Abstract: An apparatus and method capable of using a reconfigurable descriptor in a System on Chip (SoC) is provided. The apparatus includes: a Central Processing Unit (CPU) for receiving parameters, each of which defines a descriptor, from a user and for providing the parameters to a controller. The controller defines the descriptor by reading target data indicated by the received parameters.
