Abstract: A self-scrambling combination includes a frame that supports at least two tumbler rings and an activating slide. The tumbler rings are marked with characters used for a combination for the lock. The lock is openable only when the tumbler rings are located in an open position related to the combination. The activating slide moves a locking bar between a locked position and an unlocked position. A scrambling mechanism is attached to the activating slide and rotates the tumbler rings from the open position to another position upon movement of the activating slide to move the locking bar from the unlocked position to the locked position. The frame can be used as the door of a lockbox and an attached key lock controls the setting of the combination for the lock. The self-scrambling combination lock can be used for a briefcase or valise lock with an additional spring closing the lock.

Abstract: A lockbox with user-configured combination includes a body that has a top surface, side surfaces, an attachment bail and an interior cavity that extends inwardly from an opening in a side surface. The attachment bail extends from the top and slides from an open to a closed position. A first combination lock is located on the top surface and secures the bail in the closed position. A first key lock is located within the interior cavity and controls a combination for the first combination lock. A door is removably secured to the opening. A second combination lock is fitted to the door, controls access to the interior cavity through the opening, and has at least two tumbler rings. The tumbler rings have a plurality of user-selectable positions, each identified with at least one character. A second key lock in the interior cavity controls a combination for the second combination lock.

Abstract: A reinforced flexible hose that has at least one layer of stainless steel threads braided about the outer surface of the inner core and a flexible polymeric covering located over the braided stainless steel threads, thereby protecting them from abrasion and corrosion. The covering is not in intimate contact with the circumference of each thread thereby trapping pockets of air between the covering and the threads. The covering may be transparent.
