  • Publication number: 20070025609
Abstract: In a method of detecting a defect of the pattern in a semiconductor device, the pattern to be inspected is formed on a substrate, and then a thin film is continuously formed on the pattern, the defect of the pattern and the substrate to accurately detect the defect. The thin film has a reflectivity substantially greater than that of the pattern. The defect of the pattern is detected by inspecting the substrate having the thin film covering the pattern and the defect. A minute defect of the pattern such as residues or a micro bridge may be readily detected.

  • Patent number: 6417349
Abstract: A water-soluble extract of asiaticoside and madecassoside from Centella asiatica and an isolating method thereof. In the isolating method an aqueous alcohol containing Centella asiatica is subjected to cold-precipitation to obtain an extract. The extract in the aqueous alcohol is treated with a halogenide solvent for layer separation, and then the aqueous layer is extracted with a higher alcohol. The extract in the alcohol layer is washed first with sodium hydroxide and then with water. After being concentrated, the extract is crystallized with ethyl acetate to obtain crystals and the crystals are washed. A method for treating liver cells in a mammal includes administering to a mammal an effective amount of the extract from Centella asiatica containing asiaticoside and madecassoside.

  • Patent number: 6404304
Abstract: A microwave tunable filter having some advantages as follows: a) the integration of MEMS tunable filter and MMIC; b) the very low signal transmission loss and low dispersion; and c) the drastic variation and linear characteristic of frequency by means of MEMS capacitor and an external control signal. The microwave tunable MEMS filter includes a plurality of unit resonant cells, each unit resonant cell being formed by various serial and parallel combination of an inductor, a capacitor, a transmission line, and a variable MEMS capacitor, whereby capacitance variation of the variable MEMS capacitor in the unit resonant cell converts a resonant frequency of the unit resonant cell to thereby convert a center frequency of the filter.

  • Patent number: 6104736
Abstract: Driving current in sine wave form is supplied to a semiconductor laser; the laser beam output by this semiconductor laser is caused to split into two laser beams for measurement which mutually interfere after passing through optical paths with different optical lengths. Then, the light intensity of the laser beams for measurement after interference is detected with the means for detecting light; after the high frequency component is extracted from the detection signal of this means for detecting light, bias current applied to the driving current is controlled so that the light intensity of this high frequency component becomes a maximum value.

  • Patent number: 6027301
Abstract: A semiconductor wafer testing apparatus has a work table on which a carrier containing semiconductor wafers to be checked is placed. The work table is equipped for combined wafer alignment and wafer code recognition while the wafers remain in their carrier in one position on the work table. The alignment is accomplished with a wafer flat zone aligner which has a pair of roller pins each coming in contact with circumferences of the wafers being stacked in the carrier through an open lower part of the carrier and an opening in the table. The wafer code recognition is accomplished with an optical character recognizer that moves up and down and forward and backward with respect to the carrier, and interposes between the wafers in the carrier so as to read out codes which are on each wafer. This combined automated work station helps prevent contamination of the wafers by an operator or by unnecessary handling of the wafers, and also reduces cycle time for the entire inspection process.
