  • Publication number: 20220294787
Abstract: Systems and methods for tracking the privacy policy of an electronic device in a network having a privacy policy server and an authentication server are provided. In one aspect a privacy policy server receives a connection request from the electronic device, queries an authentication server for the device's privacy policy acceptance state. If the device had not accepted the network's privacy policy, the privacy policy server sends a URL to the device so the device may accept or reject the policy. The authentication server locates a network session identifier representing the device's connection with the network and response to the policy server indicating the device's current privacy policy acceptance state if applicable. Advantageously, a network session identifier can track a device's privacy policy acceptance state when the device reconnects with the network. The systems and methods are applicable in wireless networks, such as 802.11.

  • Patent number: 11395336
Abstract: Aspects of the present application provide mechanisms for minimizing latency in real time application (RTA) traffic on wireless LANs. A wireless electronic device identifies real time application network packets in the Application layer, gives them a novel MPDU frame type and subtype, and maps them into a high priority access category such as AC_VO. Upon receiving a TXOP, the device preferentially transmits RTA frames before frames mapped to the access category awarded the TXOP. Additional aspects allow for pre-emptive priority transmission of RTA frames.

  • Patent number: 11342969
Abstract: Methods and systems that can enable antenna selection (AS) and data bits in transmitted spatially modulated (SM) streams to be detected at a receiver using different detection methods. In example embodiments, encoding for an AS stream is done separately at a transmitter than encoding for data streams, enabling a receiver to use one type of detection for AS bits and a reduced complexity type of MIMO detection for the data bits.

  • Patent number: 11271691
Abstract: Methods and systems that enable payload data to be spread over a number of a plurality of sub-carriers for wireless transmissions between Access Points (AP) and stations (STA) in a WLAN. The AP receives each STA's status information, and controls an amount of spreading of the payload data that can flexibly and variably takes into account the desired amount of peak power consumption, the required data rate, and the channel conditions. Based on these factors, the AP determines a number of sub-carriers for each STA that will be used to carry the spread payload data. Example embodiments can address high power peak consumption, data rate inflexibility and inefficient spectrum communication as found in conventional wireless systems.
