  • Patent number: 9898873
Abstract: Method and systems for processing at least one three-dimensional (3D) graphic object include: identifying a change of 3D graphic objects, creating a message, assigning a unique identifier; and forwarding the message and the unique identifier to a scene engine. The change is made by an authoring tool. The message is embedded with change information corresponding to the change. The scene engine functions can be performed by the same or a different computing device as the computing device performing the authoring tool.

  • Publication number: 20070176043
Abstract: A paper towel holder comprising a base and a mandrel extending upwardly from the base, the base including a suction cup arranged to engage a support surface in use, an actuator mechanism adapted to raise or lower the centre of the suction cup to create or release a movement resisting suction between the cup and a support surface, the mechanism comprising an elongate member connected to the cup and extending axially of the mandrel, an actuator including a hand grip mounted for rotational movement at the top of the mandrel, one or more radially extending projections at the top of the elongate member, the actuator including a collar comprising one or more of cam surfaces, the or each cam surface being arranged to engage the or each projection to raise or lower the said projection as the actuator is rotated, a sleeve including one or more of vertical guide channels, each channel being adapted to receive a projection to prevent rotation of the projection during use.

  • Publication number: 20070106860
Abstract: A method, apparatus and system are disclosed for redistributing memory allocation to portions of dynamic random access memory (DRAM) and dual in-line memory module (DIMM) devices that are underutilized, in order to balance memory usage more evenly amongst active devices so as to limit the amount of power and the thermal load consumed by an individual memory component. The disclosed method, apparatus and system are capable of identifying and tracking memory usage to minimize power consumption in a way that lessens the detrimental effects of “throttling” or reduced power modes for memory devices.

  • Publication number: 20070080707
Abstract: A system, method and device for managing power distribution on a shared bus system that interconnects multiple devices each containing a signal termination component are disclosed herein. In one embodiment, the method of the invention includes detecting and communicating thermal indicia of one or more of the devices in the shared bus system to a memory controller device. The memory controller includes an on-die termination control circuit for setting and resetting the enablement of the signal termination components of the one or more devices. In a preferred embodiment, the on-die termination control circuit sets and resets the enablement of the signal termination components in accordance with the determined thermal indicia.

  • Patent number: 5567598
Abstract: This invention presents methods for detection and evaluation of metabolic activity of microorganisms based upon their ability to consume dissolved oxygen. The methods utilize a fluorescence detection system which makes use of the sensitivity of the fluorescent emission of certain compounds to the presence of oxygen, which quenches (diminishes) the compound's fluorescent emission in a concentration dependent manner. Respiring microorganisms will affect the oxygen concentration of a liquid medium in which they are immersed. Thus, this invention provides a convenient system to gather information on the presence, identification and metabolic activity of microorganisms by determining their effect on the oxygen concentration of the media in which they are present.
