  • Publication number: 20140327600
Abstract: A display device and a calibration method thereof are provided. The device may wirelessly receive an image source, display an image based on the image source, convert the received wireless image into a wired image and output the wired image to other display devices which are connected thereto to thereby receive the image source wirelessly and may display an image through a plurality of display devices.

  • Patent number: 7830996
Abstract: A display apparatus which processes an input image signal to display it thereon having a connector which is connected with an external source, a differential signal receiver which processes a differential signal from the external source, and a differential signal controller which generates a predetermined temporary differential signal using a single ended signal transmitted from the external source and outputs it to the differential signal receiver. Thus, the display apparatus generates a temporary differential signal corresponding to an input single ended signal to process it as a differential signal, and a control method thereof.

  • Publication number: 20090115686
Abstract: A display system includes a server supplying an image signal through a network communication and at least one display apparatus displaying the image signal received through the network communication. The at least one display apparatus includes a display unit displaying the image signal thereon, a sensor device sensing a color coordinate of the image signal displayed on the display unit and a communication unit communicating with the server. The server adjusts the image signal with a reference color coordinate and supplies the adjusted image signal to an originating display apparatus from among the at least one display apparatus which supplied the color coordinate to the server.

  • Publication number: 20080151127
Abstract: A display apparatus having a communication function, and a control method thereof, are provided. A display apparatus includes a communication module which performs communication with an external network, a display module which displays a video received from one of an external device and the communication module, on a display, and a display module control unit which controls the video display operation of the display module, and controls the operation of the communication module according to a current status of the communication module. As a result, the abnormal status of the communication module, and the measure to counteract the abnormality, are displayed, and more convenient, stable, and user-friendly display apparatus can be provided.

  • Publication number: 20050018083
Abstract: An apparatus and method to change a sub-picture to be a main picture when a synchronous signal of the main picture is not detected while displaying multiple pictures. The method includes scaling predetermined first and second video signals selected from video signals input from an external source not included in the display apparatus so that the first and second video signals are respectively the main picture and the sub-picture to be displayed in a multi-picture mode, detecting whether the synchronous signal of the first video signal exists, and scaling the second video signal from the sub-picture to be the main picture if a synchronous signal of the first video signal is not detected. Even when a synchronous signal of a main picture is not detected while a user is viewing the sub-picture, a status of the sub-picture is changed to be that of the main picture and is displayed. Therefore, the user can continue to view the sub-picture.

  • Publication number: 20020085121
Abstract: An image processing apparatus and a method for changing an active size performed therein are provided. In the image processing apparatus, a video decoder extracts a digital type first signal having brightness and color components of a×b pixels from an analog type image input signal and then outputs the first signal. A data extraction unit extracts the brightness and color components of c×d pixels (where c≦a, d≦b, and c×d indicates an active size) from the first signal and then stores a second signal having the extracted components. A scaling unit scales in horizontal and vertical directions the components included in the stored second signal in response to first and second predetermined ratios, respectively, and then outputs the scaled results.

  • Patent number: 6414659
Abstract: A system is disclosed for adjusting gain and offset values to set the best-fitted gain and offset values of R, G, and B video signals, by using stable area data of a video signal input to a liquid crystal display from a computer system during the production process of a liquid crystal display. First, the gain value is initialized to the maximum and the offset value to the minimum for adjusting the gain and offset values of the video signal input. Next, the offset value is adjusted by decreasing it until data of a video signal read by a base address register set for reading the stable area data of a black area is the same as the initialized minimum data. Finally, the gain value is adjusted by increasing it until data of a video signal read by the base address register set for reading stable area data of a white area is the same as the initialized maximum data.
