  • Patent number: 11256365
Abstract: A touch controller includes a controller receiving a display timing signal and generating a touch sensing control signal synchronously with the display timing signal. The touch controller also includes a sensing circuit driving a touch sensing array in response to the touch sensing control signal in order to generate touch data corresponding to sensing signals provided by the touch sensing array. The sensing circuit provides a first driving signal having a first polarity to at least one driving channel of the touch sensing array during a first display frame period, and provides a second driving signal having a second polarity different from the first polarity during a second display frame period.

  • Patent number: 10156935
Abstract: A touch screen controller is provided. The touch screen controller includes: an offset cancellation circuit configured to cancel offset capacitance of a touch screen panel including a first channel and a second channel crossing the first channel, the offset cancellation circuit connected to the touch screen panel through a sensing node; a charge amplifier configured to generate a sensing voltage from a sensing signal output from the touch screen panel, the charge amplifier including an amplifier having a first input terminal connected to the sensing node and a second input terminal to which an input voltage is applied; and a channel driver configured to provide a driving voltage, which is equal to or greater than the input voltage, to the second channel in a self capacitance sensing mode for the first channel.

  • Patent number: 9886136
Abstract: A touch screen controller controlling a capacitive touch screen includes a first comparator that compares a reference signal with a sensing signal, and generates a first output signal. The capacitive touch screen includes capacitive touch sensors connected to a sensing line and a drive line, and that sense a touch event. The sensing signal is output from the sensing line. The touch screen controller further includes a filter that generates a second output signal by integrating the first output signal in each sensing cycle of the filter, an analog-to-digital converter that converts the second output signal to a digital signal, and a controller that determines at least one of whether a noise is generated and whether the touch event is generated based on a reference digital signal and the digital signal, and that adjusts the number of the sensing cycles of the filter based on a result of the determination.
