  • Publication number: 20240107373
Abstract: Provided is a communication method and an electronic device performing the communication method. The communication method includes establishing a wireless connection for transmission of data, generating a medium access control (MAC) frame including a header formed only of a frame control field based on a type of the data, and transmitting the MAC frame including the data.

  • Patent number: 8089909
Abstract: Provided is a method of transmitting/receiving data in a sensor node for reducing overhearing of sensor nodes, and a sensor network which implements the method. A sender node having transmission data from among a plurality of nodes which perform a low power listening (LPL) operation in an asynchronous manner at predetermined time intervals, generates a long preamble including short preambles, each having information including a destination address of the transmission data, a remainder of the long preamble, and a length of the transmission data, and sequentially transmits the second preamble and the transmission data. A receiver node from among the plurality of nodes determines whether a valid signal is sensed during an active state in the LPL operation. If it is determined that the valid signal is sensed, the receiver node receives the short preamble transmitted from the sender node.

  • Patent number: 7769007
Abstract: A method of providing multicast services in a virtual private local area network (LAN) is provided. The method of providing multicast services, which is used by a provider edge in a virtual private LAN in which the provider edge, a customer edge, and a management system are connected to each other, includes: establishing a VPLS table used to transmit a received Ethernet frame to a destination; after receiving an Ethernet frame from the customer edge, searching the VPLS table in order to determine whether or not group information related to the destination of the Ethernet frame exists in the VPLS table; if the group information does not exist, requesting the group information from the management system, receiving the information, and then, updating the VPLS table by adding the received group information; and determining an output interface by referring to the group information, and transmitting the Ethernet frame.

  • Publication number: 20090161553
Abstract: An apparatus for analyzing a USN protocol includes a packet analyzer and a protocol analyzer. The packet analyzer collects packets communicated between USN sensor nodes through at least one or more channels. The protocol analyzer processes/displays the collected packets using an XML schema defined according to the USN protocol. Thus, the USN protocol analyzing apparatus can decode/encode packets collected through a plurality of channels.

  • Publication number: 20090103564
Abstract: Provided are a method and apparatus for controlling media access in a sensor network and a method of managing traffic information. Since traffic information is exchanged between nodes and data is transmitted by using a dynamic long preamble according to receiver nodes, data transmission efficiency can be improved, energy consumed to transmit the long preamble can be reduced, and data transmission delay can be reduced as well.

  • Publication number: 20050094636
Abstract: A multi protocol label switching (MPLS) apparatus and method are provided. The first forwarding method is a method of forwarding the packet based on the destination address of the packet, and the second forwarding method is a method of forwarding the packet based on a label. When an error has occurred at an LSP between a node and another node, information indicating that an error has occurred at the LSP is recorded in the forwarding table, and the first or second forwarding method is selected based on what is recorded in an error information field of the forwarding data. Accordingly, it is possible to considerably reduce node/network loads and guarantee the continuity of services provided in the MPLS network even when an error has occurred at an LSP in the MPLS network.
