  • Publication number: 20240119754
Abstract: A video monitoring system captures image frames of a patient in various positions. The captured image frames are analyzed by the system for changes in a patient's position or movement, frames in which the system detects one or both of patient movement and repositioning are retained. The system analyzes an area of interest within each image frame that corresponds to an area in the camera's view field with the patient. Sequential image frames are compared for motion, only frames without motion, where the patient is still, are analyzed.

  • Publication number: 20240083302
Abstract: Embodiments described herein relate to a battery bank and techniques for managing batteries of the battery bank. For example, the battery bank may include at least a primary battery and a secondary battery. In various embodiments, processor(s) of a primary battery management system (BMS) of the primary battery may monitor battery diagnostic information for the battery bank, receive an indication to charge the battery bank from a central controller that is communicatively coupled to the battery bank, select a given battery to be charged from among at least the primary battery and the secondary battery, and cause the given battery to be charged. In various embodiments, the primary BMS may be internal to the primary battery. In various embodiments, the secondary battery may include a corresponding secondary BMS to communicate with the primary BMS to enable the processor(s) of the primary BMS to monitor the battery diagnostic information.

  • Publication number: 20180252574
Abstract: A sound velocity sensor for underwater use has an acoustic transmitter and receiver, a path length portion defining an acoustic path and positioned such that a generated acoustic signal propagates along the acoustic path from the acoustic transmitter to the receiver, a temperature sensor in direct contact with the path length portion, and a controller communicatively coupled to these components. The controller is configured to generate the acoustic signal using the acoustic transmitter, determine a transit time of the acoustic signal from the acoustic transmitter to the acoustic receiver, determine a temperature of the path length portion using the temperature sensor, and determine the velocity of the acoustic signal from the transit time and a length of the acoustic path. Determining the velocity includes compensating for a temperature-related change in the length of the acoustic path using the temperature of the path length portion.
