Abstract: Methods, computer systems, and computer storage media are provided for using patient information stored in association with the patient's electronic medical record at a first healthcare facility to generate a comprehensive nursing risk assessment for the patient. The comprehensive nursing risk assessment includes nursing risk scenarios for which the patient is at risk and nursing risk prevention measures designed to reduce that risk. The comprehensive nursing risk assessment can be utilized by clinicians other than clinicians in a nursing-type role. The comprehensive nursing risk assessment can also be communicated to other healthcare facilities that are either concurrently caring for the patient with the first healthcare facility or scheduled to care for the patient after the patient is discharged from the first healthcare facility.
