    Abstract: A solenoid operated pilot valve comprising a valve assembly including a valve seat and an impact absorbing floating plunger assembly. The solenoid operated pilot valve includes an upper valve body for receiving the valve assembly and a lower valve body coupled to the upper valve body. The lower valve body defines a cavity in fluid communication with an inlet source, a primary outlet, and a secondary outlet. The upper valve body and the lower valve body are sealingly engaged to one another by primary, secondary, and tertiary sealing members. A piston assembly is disposed in the cavity and allowing selective fluid communication between the inlet source and either the primary outlet or the secondary outlet.
