The method comprises: depicting a music portion space in the graphical user interface of a display apparatus for creating a portion of music; and allowing the user, using an input apparatus, to add one or more continuous sound structures to the music portion space, wherein each of the one or more continuous sound structures comprises a plurality of sound elements arranged around a continuous loop representing a period of time.
