  • Patent number: 5524766
Abstract: A packaging system is disclosed for storing and handling electrical connector components and the like. The system employs a plurality of elongated component-containing tubes. Each tube has an aperture near at least one end thereof. An assembly rod passes through aligned apertures of a plurality of generally parallel juxtaposed tubes to hold the tubes in a generally stacked array. A stopper plug is adapted for insertion into the one end of each tube to retain the components therein. The assembly rod interengages each stopper plug, whereby all of the stopper plugs are held in their respective tubes by the assembly rod, and removal of the rod from the tubes pulls the stopper plugs out of the one ends of the tubes.

  • Patent number: 5487471
Abstract: A packaging container assembly is provided for electrical connector components. The assembly includes a pallet and a tray alignment plate positionable onto the pallet. At least one tray is positionable onto the alignment plate and includes receptacles for supporting electrical connector components in a given orientation. Complementary interengaging alignment elements are provided between the tray and the alignment plate for assuring proper alignment of the tray relative to the alignment plate and, thereby, assuring proper orientation of the electrical connector components within the assembly.

  • Patent number: 5415286
Abstract: A packaging container is provided for flat flexible electrical circuits that are wound about individual cores, with opposite ends of the cores projecting axially beyond the wound circuits. Top and bottom pallets each are provided with shock-absorbing interior walls for engaging the opposite ends of the cores to mount the wound circuits between the pallets without engaging the circuits. A peripheral side wall structure is latched between the pallets spaced from and substantially enclosing the mounted circuits therewithin.

  • Patent number: 5279415
Abstract: A packaging system is disclosed for storing and handling electrical connectors and the like. The system employs a plurality of elongated connector-containing tubes. Each tube has an aperture therethrough near each opposite end thereof. The apertures are spaced longitudinally of the respective tubes so that a pair of assembly rods can be passed through the aligned apertures of a plurality of generally parallel juxtaposed tubes. The assembly rods hold the tubes in a generally stacked array and also act as stop rods to close-off the ends of the tubes. At least one aperture in each tube is enlarged relative to the rod passing therethrough for accommodating any variances in the spacing between the apertures in any particular tubes.
