  • Patent number: 11638890
Abstract: A method including the steps of moving fluid through an inlet into a vessel, the vessel being at atmospheric pressure and having at least one side wall and a bottom wall forming an internal chamber within the vessel. The method further includes moving the fluid into and through a filtration unit utilizing a downstream pump, the filtration unit creating a flux of less than or equal to about 0.05 gallons per minute per square foot (GPM/ft2), and moving the fluid processed by the filtration unit to an outlet and out of the vessel.

  • Patent number: 11464285
Abstract: A shoe includes an upper and a sole coupled to the upper. The sole includes a sole member and a spring element. The sole member has a footbed surface, a bottom surface opposite the footbed surface, a heel side surface, a toe side surface, a medial side surface, and a lateral side surface. The spring element is in contact with the toe side surface of the sole member, the lateral side surface of the sole member, the heel side surface of the sole member, and a portion of the medial side surface of the sole member. The spring element is adapted and configured to support the sole member by resisting deflection due to one or more of lateral deformation of the sole member and longitudinal deformation of the sole member.

    Inventors: Kyle Jenkins, Kristafer Couture
  • Publication number: 20220225730
Abstract: A shoe having a sole. The sole includes a midsole including multiple midsole portions. A first midsole portion is an inner portion of a first midsole material. A second, midsole portion of a second midsole material circumscribes the first midsole portion, and a third midsole portion formed of a third midsole material circumscribes the second midsole portion. The second midsole portion has a greater durometer hardness than the first midsole portion. The third midsole portion has a different durometer hardness than the second midsole portion. The second midsole portion is of a different color than each of the first midsole portion and the third midsole portion. An outsole secured to the midsole is sufficiently translucent so that the first, second, and third midsole portions are visually discernable one from another by a person of normal, unaided vision viewing the outsole.

  • Publication number: 20220031015
Abstract: A shoe includes a sole and an upper secured to the sole. The sole includes a midsole and an outsole. The midsole includes at least one foam midsole member being of foam and at least one gel midsole member being of gel. The at least one gel midsole member is located between the at least one foam midsole member and the outsole and spaces the at least one foam midsole member from the outsole such that when a wearer, wearing the shoe with the outsole in contact with a horizontal surface such as the ground, applies a downward force toward the horizontal surface and against the upper surface of the at least one foam midsole member, all of such downward force is transmitted from the midsole to the outsole via the at least one gel member.
