  • Publication number: 20160359707
Abstract: Systems and methods of data communication, re-purposing a legacy communications system, and monitoring slip rings are provided. Disclosed systems and methods provide the capability to communicate serial data, Ethernet data or a combination thereof over IP slip rings and/or legacy slip rings. Disclosed systems and methods monitor IP slip rings or legacy slip rings connected to legacy wiring, structured cabling, or a combination thereof for a combination of wear and debris. Exemplary methods of re-purposing a legacy communications system comprise establishing communications interface device including a serial bus-interface on a legacy slip ring, filtering serial data signals and Ethernet data signals through the legacy slip ring, and reducing interference between the serial data signals and Ethernet data signals.

  • Patent number: 8818881
Abstract: Disclosed is a method and system for integrating a plurality of isolated components to automatically provide real-time support to a participant in an online auction, particularly for live online auctions that may require quick decision making. An embodiment may automatically display information from the plurality of isolated components for the current item being auctioned in the online auction in a single user interface window. An embodiment may further update any information from any of the plurality of isolated components in real-time as the online auction is occurring. Examples of various isolated components that may be integrated into the single user interface window include: item history reports, third party valuation reports on the item, and the interface into the online auction. Various embodiments may have additional user interface windows concurrently monitoring/automatically integrating with different online auction locations that are concurrently auctioning different items.

  • Patent number: 7381177
Abstract: An improved flowable fill material and method for producing same that provides a medium for disposal of waste wood or other reclaimed debris, including wood treated with anti-microbial and/or anti-fungal materials including those containing copper, chromium and arsenic bearing compounds. The flowable fill material, comprised entirely of recovered and/or recycled materials, provides a medium for the safe disposal of chipped wood or other recovered waste by effectively encapsulating wood chips and substantially retarding further decomposition. Encapsulation of treated wood substantially reduces leaching of arsenic and/or other toxic substances contained therein. The systematic mixing of water, Class C fly ash, and wood chips in specific proportions carries out the present invention.
