Abstract: A system includes: a switching apparatus including a plurality of electrically isolated busbars, each busbar including at least a first interface and a second interface; a first type of separable electrical connector configured to mechanically and electrically connect to one of the first interfaces; and a second type of separable electrical connector configured to connect to two of the second interfaces simultaneously. The switching apparatus is configurable to have one of a plurality of current paths based on which two of the second interfaces are electrically and mechanically connected to the second type of separable electrical connector.

Abstract: An electrical system operable to supply power from at least one of a primary power source or a standby power source to one or more electrical loads. The electrical system is configured to be provided between an electricity meter and a meter socket. The electrical system includes a housing, a plurality of contacts configured to be coupled with the meter, the meter socket, and a transfer switch. The transfer switch includes a first switch configured to selectively connect the primary power source to the one or more electrical loads, a second switch configured to selectively connect the standby power source to the one or more electrical loads, and an electrical control logic.
