  • Patent number: 12240680
Abstract: A recyclable, thermally insulated shipping container is entirely constructed from organic fiber materials in such a manner that the container is curbside recyclable without separation of component materials. The container includes a corrugated cardboard outer box having a bottom wall, a plurality of sidewalls and a top wall, a corrugated cardboard inner liner assembly comprising a corrugated cardboard inner box having a bottom wall and a plurality of sidewalls, and a corrugated cardboard lid assembly. The outer box, inner liner assembly and lid assembly cooperate to create a plurality of thermally insulated cavities which are filled and uniformly packed with predetermined volumes of loose-fill cellulose (organic fiber) insulation to create a predetermined insulating value. The container provides a fully insulated six-sided product cavity to receive a temperature-controlled product. A portion of the product cavity may be filled with a PCM or other thermal media to provide a consistent temperature profile.

  • Publication number: 20240343468
Abstract: System for storing and/or transporting temperature-sensitive materials. In one embodiment, the system is made entirely of sustainable materials and includes an outer retaining box, an insulated container, a product box, multiple passive temperature-control members, and multiple positioning devices. The outer retaining box is made of corrugated cardboard. The insulated container is removably received in the outer retaining box and is made of corrugated cardboard boxes containing either loose-fill cellulose or cellulose batting. The product box is removably received in the insulated container and is made of corrugated cardboard. The passive temperature-control members are removably received in the insulated container above and below the product box and are made of a paper-based container containing water.

  • Publication number: 20240278972
Abstract: A cartridge assembly for transporting temperature-sensitive materials includes an inner half-slotted container for housing the temperature-sensitive materials and an outer half-slotted container containing the inner half-slotted container. Each of the inner half-slotted container and the outer half-slotted container includes an open, flapless proximal end and a sealable distal end. A flange couples the inner half-slotted container to the outer half-slotted container.
