  • Publication number: 20240354677
Abstract: Through a workflow interface, a document management system enables a user to establish a document workflow. The document workflow establishes a set of document actions for the document management system to perform automatically in response to a request from the user. The user defines the document workflow by selecting from a set of workflow operations and specifying parameters for the selected workflow operation. The user additionally defines an approval workflow operation and a rejection workflow operation that designate document actions in the event that a document is approved or rejected, respectively. The document management system performs at least a portion of the document workflow in an order determined from the workflow interface.

  • Publication number: 20240342510
Abstract: A headset apparatus for a subject has an ultrasound transducer mounted within an earpiece of the headset, wherein the ultrasound transducer is configured to nest against an ear of the subject. A headband is coupled to the earpiece and is configured to extend across a parietal region of the head and to provide flexure that exerts a force for urging the ultrasound transducer against a pinna surface of the subject's ear. An alignment projection extending from the earpiece is configured as an alignment feature for positioning the ultrasound transducer against the pinna surface when the alignment projection is seated within the opening of an ear canal of the subject. The transducer and alignment projection are in fixed positions relative to each other within the earpiece.

  • Publication number: 20190269417
Abstract: Apparatus and methods for preparing the interior of a bone for therapy. The therapy may include therapy for a bone fracture. The apparatus and methods may involve orienting a surgical instrument for proper deployment in the interior of the bone. An instrument guide may be positioned and retained against translation along, and rotation about one or more of three substantially orthogonal axes. Apparatus placed exterior to the bone may register the guide to a region inside the bone that is designated for preparation or treatment. One or more broaching members may be used to prepare the region for treatment. A broaching member may be expandable inside the bone. A broaching member may be flexible such that it broaches bone having a relatively lower density and it leaves bone having a relatively higher density substantially intact.

  • Patent number: 10026304
Abstract: A computer that facilitates calibration of an environmental monitoring device is described. In particular, the computer may interact with an electronic device of a user of the environmental monitoring device to calibrate the environmental monitoring device. During the calibration, the computer provides user-interface information associated with a user interface that allows the user to select to select to monitor sound corresponding to an alarm output by a legacy device (such as a smoke detector) that is in an external environment that includes the environmental monitoring device. When the user selects to monitor a legacy device, the computer provides an instruction to the electronic device for the user to activate the legacy device. Then, the computer receives legacy-device information from the environmental monitoring device, specifying whether the legacy device was detected, a type of legacy device identified based on the monitored sound and/or a location of the legacy device.
