Abstract: A golf club head includes: a striking face; a top portion; a sole extending; a support bar protruding rearwardly from the striking face; an intermediate wall extending between the sole and the support bar; and a front cavity between the striking face and the intermediate wall, wherein, when the golf club head is in an address position on a ground plane, a greatest cavity height distance in a cross-sectional plane, as measured along a first direction perpendicular to the ground plane and from the ground plane to a top of the front cavity closest to the top portion is less than 70% of a greatest club height distance in the cross-sectional plane, as measured along the first direction and from the ground plane to the top portion, wherein the cross-sectional plane is perpendicular to the ground plane and taken at Face Center.

Abstract: A golf club head including a leading edge slot is disclosed herein. In accordance with the presently disclosed technology, the golf club head may include a body. The body may include an interior cavity, a face, a back, and a sole. The sole may include a leading edge, a leading edge slot, a central region, and a trailing edge. The golf club head may include a leading edge insert that includes an insert body forming a part of the sole in an installed position and an insert channel oriented toward the interior cavity of the body.

Abstract: A golf club head having a slot in the sole filled with an insert in which the slot is positioned close to the striking face. The slot can be a uniform distance from the striking face or the slot can curve away from the striking face in the toe region. The insert can have a uniform height or a non-uniform height. Inserts with uniform heights can have a low height profile. Inserts with non-uniform heights can have a lower height in a central portion of the insert compared to an edge portion or a perimeter portion of the insert. The insert can also have flanges or protrusions for installation into the slot. The resulting golf club head improves performance, as the sole slot with insert allows the striking face to have a profile that meets the needs at that location.
